Mobile Application Helps Users Optimize ROI at Business Events and enables Organizers to Engage more effectively with Attendees.
Bizzabo (bizzabo.com), an Israeli startup company, announced today, September 12th, 2011, the launch of its private beta on iPhone and Android at the TechCrunch Disrupt SF Startup Alley. The startup developed a free location based mobile app for networking at business events.
Bizzabo helps professionals discover new business opportunities at meet-ups and conferences and enables event organizers engage more effectively with their attendees.
Bizzabo helps professionals discover new business opportunities at meet-ups and conferences and enables event organizers engage more effectively with their attendees.
"Most people attend business events to network. But it's easy to miss a lot of good opportunities. We've experienced this frustration ourselves and therefore developed a tool that could better engage and optimize the event experience” said Eran Ben-Shushan, Co-Founder & CEO of Bizzabo.
In addition to being able to search for other event attendees based on title, company, industry and other relevant criteria, users are offered "Suggestions". Llist of other attendees specifically matched to them based on their profile, interests and their activity at previous events.
"For event organizers, Bizzabo is a valuable tool to better understand their audience – their likes/dislikes, identify influential people attending, and understand the effectiveness and presence of social media at the event," said Ben-Shushan.
Event organizers can seamlessly create and upload their event to Bizzabo's directory. They can add or edit any information about the event at any time (before and during the event). Events within Bizzabo can also be branded with their event logo, color themes, up-to-date agenda, speakers, maps, Twitter hashtag stream, Linkedin group, and more.
"Many event organizers today are developing their own one-off app for each specific event. However, it is usually deleted once the event is over along with any other valuable or relevant event information. With Bizzabo, organizers can analyze the activity from past events and help them discover new business opportunities and interesting content for their future events," said Alon Alroy, Co-Founder & VP Business Development.
Bizzabo can be used across all business events; enabling users to keep track of attendees, exhibitors, vendors and sponsors from previous events.
One of Bizzabo's most valuable features allows exhibitors, sponsors and attendees post time-limited and people-limited "Groupon style" offers such as perks, discounts and invites. Bizzabo "Offers" should be a significant revenue generating stream for both the company and event organizers. "Offers" empowers exhibitors and sponsors, who usually have to chase leads, entice people to come to them, generating more leads much more easily.
Bizzabo is funded by private investors and is advised by professionals in the business events industry and internet gurus such as Jeff K. Pulver. The company is currently working with some of the leading international events, local meetups and conferences (For example: Share.Like.Buy Conference, Go4Eurupe conference, TechAviv Meetups and more. This fall Bizzabo plans to launch its web based self-service for event organizers.
Bizzabo's founders are Eran Ben-Shushan, Alon Alroy and Boaz Katz, all alumni of the prestigious Sam Zell Entrepreneurship Program.
